Osamu Dazai (Character Explanation)

 

 Osamu Dazai- One of the most cOMplex characters in BSD, AND IF YOU HAVE SEEN BSD YOU KNOW THAT ALMOST ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE HARD TO FIGURE OUT.

 (SPOILER ALERT) At first glance he might seem energetic, cheerful, eccentric and even goofy- constantly attempting dramatic (but comedic) suicides or flirting with women, trying to convince them to be his suicide partner. However, beneath this playful surface lies a dark and deeply philosophical man.
















 And though he may not seem like it, he is incredibly intelligent and Manipulative- growing under Mori Ougai has put some influence on him it seems. And quite double faced- switching from funny to dark in the matter of moments. And the fact that he's OBSESSED with death and the meaning of life just adds to how complex his character is. 















Now let's dig into some backstory, Dazai once worked in the port mafia under the boss, Ougai Mori. Known as an Emotionless "Prodigy", Dazai was quite popular among the underworld. But after his dear friend, Oda Sakunosuke Died and left him with the words "Save people", Dazai left the port mafia and Joined the Armed detective agency to fulfill his friend's final wish.. 



















Meanwhile his ability might not be the best in combat, but it is very useful against other ability users since it nullify's other abilities no matter how strong or weak. 







In general, I think Dazai is one of the most well written characters in the entire series of Bungo stray dogs- because of his well written character design (the face card helps).

The King In Yellow. (The Repairer of Reputations)

  The King in Yellow: The King in Yellow (1895) is a collection of ten short stories by Robert William Chambers, in which the first four stories revolve around a cursed play named "The King in Yellow", that is said to make the reader insane.  The play is never revealed to us but some fragments of it are present in the book. From these fragments we have come to know about some characters - Cassilda, Camilla, and an unknown man that may be the King in Yellow himself. Walter Russell’s Symphony of Creation

Walter Russell , though known primarily as an artist, gave the world a radical scientific vision — The Inert Gas Theory — so striking that it even shocked Nikola Tesla .
